ü Listen.
Always, always, always listen and learn from those around you who have experience. Willfully and enthusiastically learn about the work dynamics and relationships, whatever it is you need to understand better. Most importantly, listen to the feedback on your performance
ü Take initiative
Organizations value members who take the first step. Do this for yourself as well. Bring in something completely new and unexpected. Research and list the pros and cons on the plan and just do it
ü Keep learning
Never stop learning. Keep an open mind and treat every situation, be it negative or positive ones as learning experiences. Learn from your failures. Make mistakes. See value in your mistakes and make sure you learn from them and don’t repeat it. Above all, take ownership of your failures. Remember, you will never progress if you redirect blame.
ü Build trust
You won’t succeed alone. Give value to anyone and everyone. This is how you build connections and grow. Be committed, be punctual and be present both physically and mentally. Be a source of solutions and not bank of problems
ü Stay positive
Always make a good impression. Show care, tolerance, compassion, and commitment. Make sure you express that you’re grateful for anyone who helps you, and be ready to offer reciprocal help
